SINGAPORE, Aug 21 — Japanese fashion label Neighborhood, known for its motorcycle and streetwear culture, and which has evolved into a trend-setting brand known for its high quality and sophistication on the streets of Japan and all over the world, is marking its first collaboration with a hospitality operator. It is an exclusive clothing line in partnership with Potato Head Folk — the Singapore outpost of the eponymous Bali institution. (Neighborhood’s previous partnerships have been with the likes of Adidas, Converse, John Mayer and Coca Cola.)
This also marks Potato Head Folk’s latest addition to its Three Buns dining experience in Singapore. The Three Buns x Neighborhood collection is inspired by the tropical feel of Southeast Asia, while in keeping with Neighborhood’s motorcycle edge. The full range of merchandise includes T-shirts, an apron, shorts, shirt, jacket and hat.
“Neighborhood is a popular label in this region and we are excited to see how Takizawa mixes streetwear with PTT Family’s signature playful and tropical style,” said Earn Chen, creative director of PTT, the hospitality and lifestyle company that runs Potato Head Beach Club Bali, Three Buns Jakarta and Singapore, and Potato Head Folk Singapore, among others. “Southeast Asia is a fashion-conscious region and we are bringing Potato Head Folk fans an opportunity to engage their style with us.”

Fans can do just that even if they’ve already had lunch. To mark its launch tomorrow, Potato Head Folk will house a pop-up store featuring the range, situated on the first floor at the entrance to its Three Buns restaurant. The pop-up store will capture the true essence of being in a real Neighborhood outlet, with stylish furnishings and branded incense.
Likewise, those looking for the complete experience can dive into specially-created tequila-based cocktails, affectionately named Neighborhood Shake and Barrio Cooler, as well as the Neighborhood burger — a Mexican-themed burger consisting of a beef patty topped with triple jalapeno cheese, deconstructed tomato salsa, pickled chilli and a mole mayonnaise made from cocoa, roasted almonds, coriander seeds, chilli and raisins, all sandwiched between a cornmeal brioche bun. And let’s just say it is no coincidence that Takizawa has a well-known love for Mexican cuisine.
Clothing prices start at S$78 (RM230), and all merchandise will be available for purchase at Three Buns restaurant until the end of November. — TODAY
