BARCELONA, Feb 28 — Roborace CEO Denis Sverdlov and futurist automotive designer Daniel Simon unveiled the autonomous race car yesterday at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
Meet Robocar, the world’s first driverless electric race car, unveiled today during a keynote presentation on the future of autonomous driving.
The vehicle, designed by Hollywood blockbuster car creator Daniel Simon (Tron Legacy, Oblivion) weighs 975kg, measures 4.8m x 2m, and can reach speeds of over 320kph.
The car drives itself using multiple complex algorithms and technology including 5 lidars, 2 radars, 18 ultrasonic sensors, 2 optical speed sensors, 6 AI cameras and GNSS positioning. — AFP-Relaxnews
