SHAH ALAM, Sept 28 — Proton Holdings Bhd today rolled out its third-generation Proton Saga in three different variants, while pledging to maintain the 1.3L sedan as the most affordable car in its range.
The latest facelift includes the new VVT technology engine that improves the car’s acceleration and fuel consumption. It also comes with Eco-Drive Assist, to help maintain economical driving patterns.
The latest facelift comes in Standard, Executive and Premium ranges, with the prince ranging from RM36,800 for a manual transmission standard edition to RM45,800 for the premium variant.
The Saga was Proton’s first make when it was launched in 1985. The same version remained till 2007, before a facelift resulted in the second generation saga from 2008 till this year.
The launch also comes just five weeks after Proton launched a facelift of its Persona mid-range sedan.
Including the new Proton Perdana, this is the third new model Proton has launched this year.
