NEW YORK, Feb 3 — Could it be that beer label Budwesier is urging sports fans to drink less, rather than more, on the occasion of Super Bowl 50?

The formidable Helen Mirren, best known for her Oscar-winning portrayal of British regent Elizabeth II in “The Queen,” has teamed up with Budweiser to tell drinkers not to be a "selfish mound of fresh manure" by drinking and driving.

“Chances are you're a fun, solid, respectable human being,” she reasons in a TV spot, seated next to an elegantly presented burger and fries. “Don't be a pillock.”

“Your friends and family thank you. The friends and family of other drivers thank you. Your future self thanks you,” she concludes.

Consuming two or more units of alcohol over a two-hour period exponentially increases drivers' risk of involvement in a car accident, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, which links alcohol consumption to a sobering 40 per cent of all traffic deaths in the USA.

Fatal crashes are also 4.5 times more likely to occur at night.
