KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 15 — The Honda Malaysia stand at KLIMS 2013 is a showcase of its latest “Advanced, Everyday, Efficient” technologies.
Its theme, “Our Today, Your Tomorrow”, is projected via three core sections displaying five vehicles specially arranged for KLIMS 2013, which opened yesterday and will run to November 24.
Honda’s booth, in Hall 1 of the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), highlights the brand’s advanced technology and concern for the environment while creating excitement for visitors.
Models on display are the EV-STER, CR-Z Mugen RR, Accord Plug-in Hybrid, and the 5th Generation All-New Odyssey — all seen for the first time in Malaysia — as well as the Honda Malaysia Racing Team (HMRT) race machine.
Says Honda Malaysia managing drector and chief executive officer Yoichiro Ueno: “The theme of ‘Our Today, Your Tomorrow’ is a reflection of our dedication and efforts in leveraging Honda’s advanced technology, ideas and ingenuity to provide excellent products to customers with speed, affordability and low CO2 emissions.”
The company’s consistent drive in pursuing ideas and exploring technological challenges has led to functional solutions that are environmentally sustainable, safe and advanced to make life so much more fun, enjoyable and exciting; bringing joy to all.
Honda constantly challenges the norm to redefine the fundamental technology of mobility. The zero emission and fuel-efficient vehicles of EV-STER and Honda Accord Plug-In Hybrid are prime examples of Honda’s innovation without compromising on quality and cutting-edge technology.
Also on display is the Honda Smart Home System, which showcases Honda’s comprehensive energy management system, which aims to provide the joy of freedom of mobility and a sustainable society where people can enjoy life.
The Honda Smart Home System proposes the optimal energy management for individual household. It controls in-house energy supply and demand, and helps manage both the generation and consumption of energy for a household including electromotive mobility such as the charging of EV (Electric Vehicle) or plug-in hybrid vehicle. Honda aims for a 50 per cent reduction in CO2 emission from households by 2015.
The Honda Smart Home System is able to provide sufficient backup energy for the home and to power mobility in the event of disaster.
Visitors to the Honda booth can also expect interactive activities such as Build Your Hybrid Challenge — which will help them understand hybrid technology better — and Eco Dash Game in which they will stand a chance to win attractive Honda merchandise.
Throughout KLIMS 2013, Honda Malaysia will be hosting visits by school children, as well as 100 underprivileged children from five homes under its “Honda Fun & Educational Day Out” programme. The aim is to inspire children to believe in the Power of Dreams.

Based on the Accord Hybrid, the Accord Plug-in Hybrid leverages the power of the Sport Hybrid intelligent Multi-Mode Drive (i-MMD) and its high-output, high-torque drive motor.
Its newly developed plug-in hybrid system features a high-capacity lithium-ion battery that at full-charge mode allows travel distance of up to 37.6 km in EV mode, making EV driving possible for a wide range of daily use.
Beyond the EV driving range, the Accord Plug-in Hybrid offers spectacular fuel efficiency cruising and a spectacular combined fuel economy of 70.4 km/L.
