KUALA LUMPUR, April 3 — Taiwanese indigenous singer A-Mei will be returning to perform in Malaysia this August six years.

The 50-year-old, whose real name is Kulilay Amit, will perform on August 26 at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil. The show will start at 8pm.

Concert organiser Aco Media said the concert was part of A-Mei's 2023 world tour.

In a Facebook post, Aco Media said her recent 12 days concert at Taipei Arena saw 320,000 tickets snapped up in nine minutes.

Although details on ticketing have yet to be announced, fans are appealing to the organiser to increase the number of performances.

Facebook user Tan Sheih Yen said A-Mei, who debuted in 1996, has many fans in Malaysia.

Ming Fatt commented lately, many celebrities have the habit of increasing the number of performances later.

"Might as well have the concert for three days," he wrote.

Tan Kai Soon commented A-Mei must have more performances to put an end to scalpers.
