KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 2 — Malaysia’s first astronaut Datuk Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor Sheikh Mustapha is set to welcome his seventh child with wife Datin Dr Halina Mohd Yunos.

The 50-year-old shared the good news with his 1.2 million followers via a clip on his Instagram.

In the clip, Dr Halina, 41, whispered the good news to Dr Sheikh Muszaphar before it was shared with the couple's children.

The clip ends with an ultrasound of a baby's heartbeat.

The couple, who tied the knot on October 10, 2010, has children between the ages of two and 11 years old including two pairs of twins.

Among those who congratulated them was Senator Datuk Ras Adiba Radzi.

"Am so, so happy for all of you,” she commented.

Dr Sheikh Muszaphar was the first Malaysian to blast off into space under the Angkasawan programme in 2007.
