SINGAPORE, May 22 — A Singapore Airlines Airbus A330 has as veered off a runway at Yangon International Airport in Myanmar. The flight SQ998 which arrived Yangon at 9.20am yesterday night reportedly faced heavy rain during its landing.

The plane veered off the runway and was towed to the airport. Yangon International Airport was closed for 30 minutes after the incident. There were no reports of casualties or injuries among passengers or crew. A spokesperson for Singapore Airlines said a replacement aircraft was being dispatched to Yangon to operate the return flight. — Channel NewsAsia
