NEW YORK, Oct 14 — That masked, swinging, web-shooting Marvel hero is swinging back into action, this time as a Disney resort character.
Superman will make his US debut at the opening of Disneyland’s Super Hero HQ in Anaheim next month.
In a blog post yesterday, Shawn Slater, Communications Manager for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, posted that the wall-crawling hero will act as greeter for the park’s latest feature, which will also see other super heroes in action such as Thor and Iron Man.
If you catch the web slinger taking a break from being a hero, you can always snap a photo, grab an autograph or just thank him for keeping us safe from villains such as Doc Oc and the Green Goblin.
On his blog, Slater also posted that “Super Hero HQ is the West Coast home base of some of the greatest heroes in the universe. It’s the place to go, not only to meet some of those heroes, but to discover the super hero in yourself.”
So, we’ll see how well Spiderman fits into his new role. After all, ‘with great power comes great responsibility’.
