Singapore, Jamaica sign open skies agreement

SINGAPORE, Nov 26 — Singapore has concluded an Open Skies Agreement (OSA) with Jamaica.

Under the OSA, designated airlines will be able to fly between Singapore and Jamaica, via and beyond to any third country without restrictions in capacity, frequency or aircraft type, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

The OSA was signed on Monday by Minister for Transport Lui Tuck Yew and Dr.Morais Guy, Minister without Portfolio, Ministry of Transport, Works and Housing of Jamaica on the sidelines of the 28^th International Maritime Organization Assembly in London.

“The signing of this OSA reflects the warm bilateral ties between Singapore and Jamaica, and underscores both countries’ commitment to establish a fully liberal air services framework which allows our carriers to react quickly to market demand when opportunities arise,” Lui said. — Bernama
