KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 28 — Sri Pahang FC captain Sergio Aguero scored a brace as he led this team to trounced Kelantan United FC (KUFC) 5-1 in their Super League match at Sultan Muhammad Ke-IV Stadium in Kota Baru last night.

The visitors got an early lead thanks to a long shot by defender Mohd Azrif Nasrulhaq in the 10th minute before team captain Sergio scored his first goal in the 23rd minute, followed by his second just four minutes later. Import striker Kpah Sherman then scored the Sri Pahang’s fourth goal in the 66th minute, after which KUFC striker scored the home team’s solitary consolation goal in the 77th minute.

David Rowley capped off a splendid match for Sri Pahang with a personal goal during injury time, ending the match 5-1.

Meanwhile, PDRM FC profited from an own goal by Penang FC to beat the visitors 3-0 at Petaling Jaya City Stadium here this evening, after Penang defender Ousmane Fane deflected a free kick into his own goal in the 36th minute.

A lapse in the Penang defence then led to PDRM’s second goal, courtesy of their Nigerian player, James Okwuosa in the 75th minute, and finally an injury-time goal by substitute Bruno Suzuki sealed their victory.

Perak FC lost all hope of maintaining their winning streak at home when they lost 0-4 to Kuala Lumpur (KL) City FC at Perak Stadium in Ipoh last night.

The City Boys scored their first goal of the night in the 30th minute, thanks to striker Tchetche Kipre. Sebastian Avanzini scored the second in the 47th minute, followed by Paolo Josue in the 56th minute.
