SINGAPORE, Feb 3 — Ahead of the upcoming Malaysian Super League (MSL) season which begins on Saturday (February 7), the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) announced new additions such as Sahil Suhaimi, Christopher Van Huizen, Izzdin Shafiq, Shahdan Sulaiman and Wahyudi Wahid in the LionsXII squad.
The FAS also welcomed SilkAir as the team’s official airline partner and unveiled the 2015 LionsXII team jersey, which will be on sale at Jalan Besar Stadium on match days.
“The support of sponsors will boost our continuous efforts to raise footballing standards while further enabling us to expand and enhance our community and outreach initiatives, aimed at using sports as a strategy for national building efforts,” said FAS president Zainudin Nordin.
Besides SilkAir, the FAS also welcomed Shuttle Cargo and Weldman Welding as LionsXII sponsors for the 2015 season.
Season tickets for the 2015 MSL season go on sale today, with Grandstand and Gallery tickets priced at S$124 (RM332) and S$74 (RM198) respectively. Tickets are available at www.globaltickets.sg.
The LionsXII, the 2013 MSL champions, finished eighth in the 12-team league standings last season. They will start their campaign this Saturday against PDRM FA at the Jalan Besar Stadium. — Today
