KUALA LUMPUR, March 3 — The day has come, Malaysia’s date with BlackPink is tomorrow!

And devoted fans, known as Blinks, have come out in droves to queue in the rain for the pre-sale merchandise.

Gathered at the National Stadium Bukit Jalil, a day before the concert, legions of fans are lining up with their umbrellas to buy precious official concert merchandise.

Images and videos of the painful-looking queues leading all the way from the LRT station are all over social media.

“It’s 12.20 and raining. Open your booth,” commented one Twitter user.

“Wah the queue is so long,” said another.“Queue for the BlackPink merch booth, hope rain will stop. Curious to know what time they will arrive at airport,” said a third.

But as turns out, a majority of them are resellers and those offering purchasing services.

For a fee, you can pay someone to do the queuing for you.

As convenient as it may sound, it’s a scourge to real fans.

“Someone is already reselling the merch they got in the front,” complained another Twitter user.

There are umbrella check services too.

For a fee of RM5, you can safely leave your umbrella outside the stadium as umbrellas are not allowed.
