KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 25 — UK pop legend Sting will hold his first Malaysian show in 18 years in Kuala Lumpur next March.

Sting will play alongside his son, Joe Sumner, as part of the Sting: My Songs world tour. It will be held at Plenary Hall in KL Convention Centre on March 20, 2023 at 8.30pm.

Sting’s last concert in Malaysia was in 2005 when he performed in Putra Stadium (now known as Axiata Arena) in Bukit Jalil.

The musician, whose real name is Gordon Sumner, rose to fame as the frontman of The Police with classic pop hits like Every Breath You Take and Message In A Bottle.

The 17-time Grammy winner has become one of the most prominent artists in the world, being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and an outspoken advocate of human rights.

Sting began his My Songs tour in 2019 alongside his album of the same name; however, multiple shows in Europe were cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The tour resumed in Europe in September 2021, carrying through 2022 in Europe and North America with 2023 set for stopovers in Abu Dhabi, South Africa, and Australia.
