MUMBAI, March 6 — While Bollywood was busy digesting news on ace director Karan Johar becoming a dad, it was good pal Shah Rukh Khan who reminded us why we love him so much with his reaction to the news: Give the man some privacy!
King Khan extended his best wishes while reminding the press that this moment is quite personal for the director and should be respected. “We wish him happiness. It’s still very personal. So, don’t think I am being cagey by not answering about it.
“I have had this moment in my life, so I know how personal it is. Let’s respect it and leave it to that. We will have love, celebrations, happiness and health later,” Shah Rukh was quoted by PTI as saying.
Karan broke the news on the arrival of his twins via Twitter yesterday saying: “I am ecstatic to share with you all the two most wonderful additions to my life, my children and lifelines; Roohi and Yash.
“I feel enormously blessed to be a parent to these pieces of my heart who were welcomed into this world with the help of the marvels of medical science. This was an emotional yet well thought out decision which I have taken after considering all the responsibilities and duties that come with being a parent.”
The children were named in honour of Karan’s parents with Yash being the name of his late father while Roohi is the anagram of his mother’s name, Hiroo.
According to a report by Mid-day, only three of Karan’s celebrity friends knew about the twins with one them being Shah Rukh’s wife Gauri.
“Friends Gauri Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Manish Malhotra were, perhaps, the only ones clued in to the development,” mid-day quoted a source at Karan’s Dharma Productions as saying.
