LOS ANGELES, May 27 — Daniel Wu talks about his Warcraft: The Beginning character, the orc shaman Gul’dan, in this exclusive behind-the-scenes video from the upcoming fantasy film by Universal Pictures.

Gul’dan is an orc warlock who leads his Horde from their world through a magical gate and into the human realm of Azeroth, and he has a malevolent way of making sure his army is ready for battle.

Based on the “World of Warcraft” video game franchise, the official synopsis for the movie reads: “The peaceful realm of Azeroth stands on the brink of war as its civilisation faces a fearsome race of invaders: Orc warriors fleeing their dying home to colonise another. As a portal opens to connect the two worlds, one army faces destruction and the other faces extinction. From opposing sides, two heroes are set on a collision course that will decide the fate of their family, their people and their home. So begins a spectacular saga of power and sacrifice in which war has many faces, and everyone fights for something.”

The film stars Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Ben Foster, Dominic Cooper, Toby Kebbell, Ben Schnetzer and Rob Kazinsky.

Warcraft: The Beginning is set for release on June 10.
