LOS ANGELES, Sept 11 — Taylor Swift has finally bagged her very first Emmy award.
The Television Academy announced an early list of Emmy winners yesterday and Tay Tay snagged one of the small screen’s biggest honours.
Swift nabbed an Emmy for Original Interactive Programme for her “AMEX Unstaged: Taylor Swift Experience”. The singer starred in and has an executive producer credit on the project, which debuted with the release of her “Blank Space” music video in 2014.
The project was shot with a 360° camera and it allowed Swift fans to explore the sets of the elaborate Joseph Kahn-directed video.
Two viral favourites, NBC’s “Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” and Comedy Central’s “@midnight” each received Emmys for outstanding social TV experience.
Costume design Emmys went to Comedy Central’s “Drunk History” and Katy Perry’s Super Bowl XLIX halftime show.
The TV Academy announced a slew of other winners in anticipation of tomorrow’s Creative Arts ceremony and the Primetime Emmys on September 20.
