PARIS, May 30 — Fans and stars alike geeked out on the red carpet last night, as the fourth instalment of “Jurassic Park” made its world premiere on Paris' glitzy Champs-Elysees avenue.

“Jurassic World” takes place 22 years after the events of “Jurassic Park,” at a dinosaur theme park that's opened on Isla Nublar.

Facing dwindling attendance, a new attraction is developed to spark interest in the theme park but it backfires greatly when the genetically-modified "hybrid" dinosaur Indominus rex, which is larger than a T-Rex, begins to wreak havoc.

“Jurassic World” is released on June 12. — ReutersScreen grab from the Reuters video on the premiere of 'Jurassic World' in Paris, May 29, 2015.
