KUALA LUMPUR, May 8 — Malaysia’s new “live” online station PeaceYall.FM had its official grand launch yesterday and revealed that the entertainment service has bigger plans for the future.
According to the president of PeaceYall.FM Datuk AC Mizal or better known as Mr Versatile, PeaceYall.FM is like “a TV on a phone” or “radio with visual”.
Using the fact that smartphones has become an important part of today’s society, AC believes that PeaceYall.FM comes in at the right time and will advance further in the future as many services nowadays are online based.
He also said that the online TV station started it service in early March and the results and feedback it received so far is positive and encouraging.
“Many people misunderstood on what we did at first, they thought that PeaceYall is like Spotify or KKBox, but we are actually a broadcast station with a slightly different concept than normal radio stations. We don’t sell songs and you can’t download songs from our website,” said AC Mizal.
He also mentioned his plans on expanding the service to other countries in the future, “Probably after Raya Aidlifitri, we would launch PeaceYall.FM in Indonesia.”
“We also plan on hosting a PeaceYall Award ceremony, hopefully by the end of this year. This is part of our early plans,” he added.

With its motto, “Terbaik dan Trendy” (the best and trending), PeaceYall.FM will only broadcast famous songs with music videos that are considered the best, currently trending and are well-received among Malaysians.
Though it is undeniable that the online station is certainly one-of-a-kind especially in Malaysia, it is also a fact that the service will consume a lot of Internet data, which might make many Malaysians reluctant to utilise the service.
Datuk AC Mizal confessed that he is aware of that fact too, but he believes that this issue is very subjective and it depends on the individuals, “I believe that nowadays, many people surf the Internet more frequently than watching television.”
During the launch, there were a number of dance performances, fashion shows, as well as special guest star performances from Datuk Siti Nurhaliza, Joe Flizzow and SonaOne.
The VJ’s of PeaceYall.FM was also introduced one by one during the performances and they are mostly comedians from “Maharaja Lawak Mega”; Adlin Aman Ramlie, Joey Daud, Sobri Anuar, Emelda Rosemila, Syuk (Balas), Acong (SweetChild), Fad (Bocey), Vicha (SayWho) and Bochil (SayWho).
Meanwhile, the new faces introduced as hosts are; Kiki, Wirda, Haili, Elfe, Aizat Ishak, Rendy Ricky, Aqinna, Elfie Azlan, Iema Haris and Jeed Zulkifli.
