KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 24 — YTL Corp Bhd’s net profit for the financial year ended June 30, 2023 (FY2023), increased to RM1.03 billion from RM695.11 million recorded in FY2022.

Revenue rose to RM29.51 billion from RM24.24 billion previously, the group said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.

The improved achievement for the current financial year was due to better performance in construction, cement and building materials, management services and others, as well as hotel segments.

“The group expects the performance of its business segments to remain resilient due to the essential nature of its operations, and will continue to closely monitor the related risks and impact on all business segments,” it said.

For the fourth quarter ended June 30, 2023, YTL Corp recorded a higher net profit of RM480.99 million as compared to RM173.24 million recorded in the same period last year, while revenue advanced to RM9.10 billion from RM6.15 billion previously.

The group has declared an interim dividend of 4.0 sen per ordinary share for FY2023, to be paid on November 29, 2023. — Bernama
