KUALA LUMPUR, March 31 — Sapura Resources Bhd posted a net profit of RM72.77 million for the financial year ended Jan 31, 2023 (FY2023) compared to a net loss of RM263.49 million in FY2022.

Revenue increased to RM55.71 million from RM45.17 million previously.

For the fourth quarter (4Q) of FY2023, the company posted a net profit of RM93.01 million from a net loss of RM102.90 million while revenue rose to RM15.51 million compared to RM10.90 million in the same quarter last year, mainly due to the higher revenue derived from the aviation and property segments.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said revenue in the aviation segment for 4Q FY2023 increased to RM9.67 million from RM4.80 million previously mainly due to the increase in aircraft management and rental revenue and as for property segment

On prospects, it said the property and business aviation segments would continue to contribute towards the group’s revenue.

“In the meantime, the group is reviewing all its investment portfolio to ensure long-term viability, profitability and sustainability,” it said. — Bernama
