KOTA BARU, Dec 1 — Hino Motors Sales (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (Hino) sold 4,821 trucks in the country from January to October this year.
Managing director Atsushi Uchiyama said Hino has secured about 40 per cent of the market share in Malaysia, compared to 35.7 per cent in the first ten months of 2021.
“Our market share in Malaysia this year is about 40 per cent. That means almost half of the commercial vehicles running in Malaysia are Hino brand,” he said at the launch of a new 3S centre operated by Soon Seng Motors Enterprise (1988) Sdn Bhd (SSKB) situated in Tunjong here today.
Commenting on the newly launched 3S centre, Uchiyama said Hino appointed the SSKB outlet as a Hino-authorized 3S centre to offer one-stop solutions to customers, especially in Kota Baru.
“We believe this new 3S centre is convenient and strategic for the customers making inquiries about the latest Hino models, vehicle bodywork, and attaining after-sales services and genuine parts supply,” he added.
SSKB invested about RM2 million in the newly upgraded 3S centre, which spans a 1.5-acre covered workshop area and is equipped with the latest facilities that comply with Hino standards.
The facility is equipped with six service bays and 15 repair bays. — Bernama
