KUALA LUMPUR, June 1 — The ringgit was lower against the US dollar in early trade today due to a lack of buying interest, a dealer said.
At 9.10 am, the local unit traded at 3.6680/6720 to the greenback from 3.6660/6690 at close last Friday.
Against, other major currencies, the ringgit traded mostly higher.
It rose against the Singapore dollar to 2.7142/7190 from 2.7182/7222 last Friday and appreciated against the yen to 2.9514/9551 from 2.9603/9634.
The ringgit strengthened against the Euro at 4.0124/0183 from 4.0172/0212 but weakened at 5.6014/6093 from 5.6009/6073 versus the British pound. — Bernama
