KUALA LUMPUR, March 20 — Malaysia’s consumer price index rose just 0.1 per cent in February from a year earlier, its slowest pace in more than 5 years, as lower fuel prices drastically reduced the inflation rate, according to price data released by the Statistics Department today.
The February inflation rate was slightly lower than the median forecast of 0.2 per cent given by a Reuters poll of analysts, and well below the 1.0 per cent recorded in January. — Reuters
