KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 30 — Fares for both KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit will be adjusted from January 1, 2027, marking the first revision since 2016.
In a statement today, Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL) said the standard one-way adult fare for the KLIA Ekspres between KL Sentral and Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) will increase from RM55 to RM65, amid higher operating and maintenance costs.
“This fare adjustment will support our efforts to maintain high service standards and invest in improvements to enhance passengers’ experience, as we are committed to providing the fastest and most reliable connection between KL Sentral and KLIA,” ERL chief executive officer Datin Noormah Mohd Noor said.
For the KLIA Ekspres service, the adult return fare between KL Sentral and KLIA will be RM118, while fares for children aged six to 15 will be RM29 one-way and RM53 return.
Children below six will continue to travel for free.
ERL also said it was working with partners to offer ticket discounts of up to 30 per cent from January 2027, with further details to be announced once arrangements are finalised.
The company said the fare adjustment was made in accordance with its concession agreement with the government.
