KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 27 — The benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) opened slightly lower this morning after closing higher yesterday.

At 9.01am, the key index stood at 1,836.10, 6.07 points easier, after opening 2.1 points better at 1,838.20.

The FBM Emas Index eased 13.24 points to 12,666.61, FBMT100 Index inched down 15.36 points to 12,344.48, FBM Ace fell 40.97 points to 6,447.16, the FBM 70 declined 37.76 points to 13,650.16 and the FBM Emas Syariah Index shed 24.85 points to 13,204.98.

However, sector-wise, the Plantation Index increased 29.96 points to 8,362.74, the Finance Index rose8.99 points at 16,402.19 but the Industrial Index was 3.78 points lower at 3,331.95.

There were 121 gainers and 160 losers with 149 counters unchanged, 1,273 untraded and 26 others were suspended.

Turnover stood at 144.58 million shares worth RM65.65 million.

Among heavyweights, Maybank down five sen to RM9.62, SapuraKencana lost six sen to RM3.17 while Sime Darby slipped four sen to RM9.66.

Among actives, Nova was flat at 20.5 sen, KNM eased one sen to 58 sen and both Daya Materials and Systech were half a sen lower each at 22 sen and 31.5 sen, respectively. — Bernama
