The memory of Flight MH370’s disappearance a year ago remains fresh for some family members of the 239 onboard, with many still seeking the “truth” and yet to start grieving for their loved ones.

Melbourne-based Jennifer, whose husband Tan Chong Ling was on the flight, does not call herself a widow despite Putrajaya’s January 29 declaration of MH370 as an accident with no survivors, the Sydney Morning Herald (SMH) reported today.

“Half of me is gone and the other half is just struggling to survive.”

It took her seven months to finally remove the groceries from her car, which she had bought the day she found out about the plane’s disappearance.

“I know that if it were me on the plane, he will do the same, he will never give up on me. I want to know the truth. More than anything. And I will not stop till I find my husband.”
