KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 12 — The Blue Malaysia Agenda outlined by Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi will be reflected in Barisan Nasional’s (BN) manifesto for the 16th General Election (GE16), says BN secretary-general Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir.
He said the agenda formed part of the coalition’s efforts to formulate an approach that ensured Malaysia remained peaceful and stable, while navigating current and future challenges.
“The president outlined eight initiatives under the Blue Malaysia Agenda… all of which are crucial to ensuring the nation stays peaceful and stable, while demonstrating our resolve to address current challenges.
“For instance, amid an increasingly volatile global landscape, careful planning is required to ensure Malaysia remains peaceful and prosperous,” he told reporters at the Media Centre during the Umno General Assembly 2026 at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur today.
Yesterday, Ahmad Zahid said Umno and BN would outline the Blue Malaysia Agenda to shape the nation’s trajectory heading towards the centenary of its independence, should the coalition return to lead Putrajaya.
The agenda carries aspirations to build a sovereign and united Malaysia, an innovative and high-income nation, a prosperous and equitable society, and a globally respected country. — Bernama
