KUCHING, June 28 — A classic car, believed to be a Volkswagen Beetle, parked beneath the Satok flyover here was destroyed in a fire early yesterday.
Firefighters from the Padungan Fire and Rescue Station were dispatched to the scene after receiving an emergency call at 9.45am.
“The fire was raging upon the firefighters’ arrival. Firefighters put out the flames using firefighting foam.
“However, the car was completely destroyed,” said the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) in a statement.
The operation ended at 10.11am, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation. — The Borneo Post
