KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 24 — A total of 37 development projects have been implemented in the Sungai Buloh parliamentary constituency this year through the allocation under the People-Friendly Projects (PMR).

Sungai Buloh MP Datuk R. Ramanan said of the number, six projects are aimed at upgrading public utilities, eight projects for upgrading and building mosques and surau, four projects are for upgrading non-Muslim places of worship, 12 projects for upgrading and building national schools, five for upgrading and building secondary schools and two projects for upgrading and building vernacular schools.

“Thank you to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for the allocation under PMR for all government MPs. The RM2 million allocation can be used for the development of their respective constituencies.

“The Sungai Buloh parliamentary constituency has successfully utilised the RM2 million allocated under the monitoring of the Selangor State Development Coordination Unit,” he said when debating Budget 2024 in the Dewan Rakyat yesterday.

Ramanan also said efforts to bridge the existing poverty gap in Malaysia require the commitment of all stakeholders. — Bernama
