SUBANG JAYA, July 12 — Subang Jaya Medical Centre (SJMC) has launched SeniorConnect, a core component of Connected Care — where a revolutionary remote patient care ecosystem transforms healthcare delivery by bringing seamless services directly to patients’ homes.
This innovative solution emphasises connectivity and remote monitoring by a trusted healthcare provider, enabling patients and their loved ones to access healthcare anytime and anywhere.

With the launch of Connected Care, we bring a transformative revolution to healthcare delivery, empowering patients with seamless access to professional and affordable care in the comfort of their own homes.

This innovative ecosystem builds upon SJMC’s existing HomeConnect and TeleConnect services and encompasses six areas of care, GPConnect, ICUConnect, HospitalConnect as well as the latest addition, SeniorConnect.
The SeniorConnect offers remote patient monitoring services which are designed specifically for elderly patients aged 65 years and above who may be living apart from their loved ones with the support of a caregiver.
“Through SeniorConnect, healthcare professionals can accurately record and closely monitor the vital signs of senior patients daily and in the event of any emergency, immediate assistance can be deployed.
“This advanced remote monitoring system ensures that seniors receive the necessary care and attention, promoting their well-being and providing peace of mind to their loved ones,” said SJMC Business Development, Strategy and Transformation director Joanne Lee.
The SeniorConnect kit which is certified by MoH includes devices such as a blood glucose monitor, blood pressure monitor, pulse oximeter, and thermometer.
Joanne added that patients can monitor their own health readings through a provided link, accessible to nominated caregivers or family members upon request.
In line with SJMC’s commitment to innovation, the medical centre has collaborated with the Malaysian Research Accelerator for Technology & Innovation (MRANTI) and joined the MRANTI HealthTech Hub, an initiative by the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation and the Ministry of Health Malaysia, to drive further advancements in healthcare technology and foster transformative innovation in patient care.
“Our participation in the MRANTI HealthTech Hub further solidifies our commitment to collaborating for greater impact, driving advancements in healthcare technology, and fostering transformative innovation to spur the industry forward,” said Bryan.
By partnering with the MRANTI HealthTech Hub, SJMC gains access to an extensive network of healthcare technology companies which empowers the medical centre to enhance the quality of care provided to patients.
“Together, we aim to evaluate how these technologies perform in real healthcare settings and ensure the best possible outcomes for patients. This collaboration will bring value not only to MRANTI HealthTech Hub but also to our Integrated Healthcare Cluster (IHC), which will be developed through public-private collaboration,” said MRANTI chief commercial officer Khairil Anuar Sadat Salleh.
