KUCHING, May 13 — Sarawak Speaker Tan Sri Asfia Awang Nasar today said Deputy Premier Datuk Douglas Uggah will table a ministerial motion in next week’s assembly sitting to enable 10,000 copies of the Sarawak Constitution to be printed.

He said approval from the State Assembly is required under Standing Order 23 of the State Assembly, to be read together with Article 42 of the State Constitution.

“The authorisation of the State Assembly is required because the State Constitution is the highest law in Sarawak,” he told reporters after attending the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) supreme council meeting here.
