KUCHING, Nov 13 — Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Openg today said that Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) offer to resolve issues relating to Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) and Inter-Governmental Committee (IGC) Report as its top priority should it form the next federal government after the 15th general election (GE15) cannot be trusted.

“Can you trust them? After what had happened during their 22 months in power?” he asked when reporters asked him to respond to the offers announced by PH chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim yesterday.

Asked about the readiness of PH to cooperate with GPS to form the federal government after the general election, Abang Johari said such cooperation will depend on the outcome of the general election.

“Contest first and only then we know,” he said.

Earlier, Abang Johari hit out at the PH federal government for its “half-hearted” effort to amend the Federal Constitution, by proposing to amend Article 1(2) and Article 160 relating to the interpretation of the Federation.

He said any amendment to the Federation Constitution relating to the formation of Malaysia must relate to MA63 and IGC Report.

He said he had told a former de facto law minister that GPS Members of Parliament would not support a Bill to amend the Federal Constitution as it had no meaning and was not related to MA63 and IGC Report.

Abang Johari also lambasted the PH federal government for cancelling many federal-funded projects which were approved by the Barisan Nasional administration prior to the 2018 general election.
