KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 21 — Traffic flow on major highways started to slow down following an increase in the volume of vehicles on the road due to the Deepavali holidays and long weekend.

The Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) said in its Twitter account that traffic flow was reported to be slow on the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Expressway from the east (Kuantan) just before the Gombak Toll Plaza and from Lentang to the Bentong Toll Plaza.

Traffic flow was reported to be slow west-bound from Gombak Rest Area to Gombak Toll Plaza and Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2), as well as south-bound from Sungai Besi Toll Plaza to Bangi, Seremban to Senawang, Senawang to Pedas Linggi and Kempas to Pasir Gudang.

It said traffic was also moving slowly north-bound from Pasir Gudang to Dato’ Onn, Senai to Kulai, Pedas Linggi to Port Dickson and after Sungai Besi Toll Plaza heading to the capital city.

It added that traffic was moving slowly from Juru Autocity to Juru Toll Plaza, Bukit Tambun to Jawi and Menora Tunnel to Ipoh Utara as well as from Sungai Buloh Rest and Service Area to Sungai Buloh Hospital and just before Rawang Selatan Toll Plaza.
