KUALA LUMPUR, April 7 — A sea of dark blue flooded the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil here as thousands came in show of support of the launch of Barisan Nasional’s (BN) manifesto for the 14th general election.
Arriving the venue as early as 4pm, today, more than 30,000 BN supporters from throughout the country filled the stadium, inside and out, to hear what the ruling-party has to offer, should they win the mandate in GE14.
The crowd had filled the atmosphere with enthusiasm and high-spirits as BN gears up to battle in the upcoming nationwide polls.
As BN chairman Datuk Seri Najib Razak delivered his speech, the crowd stood and cheered on while waving the blue BN flag.
The crowd chanted along and echoed “Great” (Hebat), as Najib expressively chanted “Barisan Nasional — Rakyat — Negaraku — Malaysia.”
“I feel very excited as I witness the sea of blue that is high in spirits,” said Najib, addressing his supporters.
As the crowd came from different part of the country, near and far, the supporters were also treated with a selection of food from various food trucks that had lined the street outside of the stadium.
The event ended with an extravagant show of confettis, a shower of blue and white balloons, accompanied with continuous celebratory popping sounds.
