SHAH ALAM, March 21 — The Selangor Housing and Property Board (LPHS) has been urged to reply to allegations that data of certain applicants of low-cost housing projects in Selangor had ‘gone missing’ from the list even after they had been offered a home.
Kelab Harmoni Selangor president Dr V. Sunder said the club had received many complaints from applicants of ‘Rumah Selangorku’ project that their applications had ‘vanished’ from the LPHS system, causing them to submit a fresh application.
“Thousands of applicants were informed they were eligible to buy a home under this programme, only to be disappointed to find their names and personal details had disappeared, as if they were deleted from the list,” he told a press conference here today.
According to him, this was a recurring problem since 2010, and was unfair to the applicants because after waiting for months and years, they are asked to make fresh applications appended with various self-identifying documents.
He said LPHS, as well as Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali should provide an explanation. — Bernama
