KUALA LUMPUR, March 9 ― The government will continue to analyse data in search for the location of Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 aircraft which went missing three years ago, despite having suspended search operation since January 17.
Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said complete data analysis would assist investigation experts to conduct search mission to find the location of the ill-fated plane.
“We also received assistance from relevant Australian government agencies to analyse satellite images.
“Existing data will be reviewed while debris believed to be from the Boeing 777 aircraft found along the coast of South Africa will also be reviewed,” he said when met by Bernama in Parliament today.
Liow said Malaysian Airline System Bhd and Malaysia Airlines Bhd held a closed door ceremony to commemorate the victims of MH370 at KL International Airport (KLIA) yesterday.
The ceremony attended by airline staff and families of 13 crew members in the ill-fated aircraft began with prayers and observing a minute of silence as well as a video display as a mark of respect to those who are still missing.
Liow also prayed for the safety of those involved in the tragedy and gave his commitment to inform the next of kin on the latest development on MH370. ― Bernama
