KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 9 — A 22-year-old man jumped to his death at the Mid Valley Megamall shopping complex last night, according to a report by the New Straits Times Online.

He is believed to have jumped from the shopping complex’s car park and his body was found near the mall entrance around 11.30pm. The victim died at the scene.

The man had reportedly gone to the mall with his brother and parked at the fourth floor of the mall’s multi-level car park.

Preliminary investigation found that the man told his elder brother that he wanted to buy a few items, Brickfields district police chief Assistant Commissioner Sharul Othman Mansor said.

“The elder brother waited in the car. While waiting, he received an SMS from his younger brother.”

“In the message, the younger brother said he wanted to kill himself and wanted to say goodbye,” Sharul added, as quoted by NST.
