PETALING JAYA, May 25 — A contractor was waylaid by two gunmen before he was shot and injured outside a kindergarten in Jalan Selangor here today.
The 41-year-old unidentified victim was walking towards the kindergarten to fetch his children when the gunmen fired two shots in the incident about 11am.
Petaling Jaya police chief ACP Mohd Zani Che Din said the contractor who sustained a gunshot wound in the left leg managed to drive his car to a medical centre where he was warded in a stable condition.
The gunmen escaped in a motorcycle, he told a press conference at the Petaling Jaya police headquarters here today. — Bernama
