KUALA LUMPUR, March 20 — Police arrested 126 people including 78 foreign women aged between 21 and 44 years in 14 raids in Op Noda nationwide, yesterday.
Principal assistant director of Anti-Vice, Gambling and Secret Societies, Datuk Roslee Chik said 16 foreign men and 32 local men were arrested.
“The raids in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Johor, Penang, Perak and Sabah involved entertainment centres, massage parlours and hotels,” he said in a statement here, today.
Roslee said four of the premises were unlicensed and four foreigners were arrested under Immigration Act for failing to produce valid identity documents.
Police also made 20 raids in Ops Dadu and arrested 29 locals aged 19 to 60 years consisting of touts and customers.
The 24-hour operation involved 17 raids in Selangor, two raids in Johor and the rest in Sarawak.
“Police also seized RM2,503 and 233 gaming machines in the raids.” Inspector General of Police, Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar tweeted the raids were conducted by the Special Tactical Anti-Vice, Gambling and Gangsterism (STAGG) Squad.
