PUTRAJAYA, Feb 6 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor attended the wedding of the daughter of International Trade and Industry Deputy Minister, Datuk Ahmad Maslan at his residence in Precint 10, here, today.

The Prime Minister and his wife, who arrived at 10.55am, spent about an hour at the wedding.

Najib and wife also took time for a photography session with the bride and bridegroom, Nurul Izzatul Shahirah Ahmad, 22, and Ahmad Haqimi Iskandar Ariffin Iskandar, 22, and both their families.

Prior to this, the marriage of the couple was solemnised by Ahmad himself before Putra Mosque chief imam, Abdul Manaf Mat.

The couple were scheduled to leave for Australia on Feb 15 to further their studies at Curtin University.

Among the guests at the wedding were Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Abdul Wahid Omar and wife, Datin Seri Kay Roserina Mohd Kassim and wife of Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Minister, Datin Norazlina Awang Had.

The Prime Minister and wife shook hands and chatted with the guests present before leaving.

A total of 300 guests attended the ceremony and the ‘bersanding’ (bride and bridegroom sitting on a dais) would be held on Tuesday. — Bernama
