JOHOR BAHARU, Jan 16 — A 66-year-old man was found dead with a bloodied head, believed to have been struck by lightning at a pineapple plantation in Simpang Renggam near here, last night.
Kluang district police chief, ACP Mohamad Laham, said the body of Kateman Samang, a permanent resident (PR), was found by the public at 8.20pm before a police report was lodged.
“According to information from the public, the victim was found during heavy rain and lightning. There were bruises and burns on the body, while his shirt and trousers were torn.
“Police do not suspect foul play,” he said in a statement here today.
Police have classified the case as sudden death and the body was taken to Kluang Hospital near here for post-mortem. — Bernama
