KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 8 ― French authorities and media organisations worldwide have been urged to censure the French satirical magazine, Charlie Hebdo for publishing caricatures which humiliate the MH370 crew and passengers.

The call was made by MCA Publicity Bureau Chairman Senator Datuk Chai Kim Sen.
“MCA admonishes Charlie Hebdo for equating the tragedy of MH370 with caricaturising politicians (as the latter commonly publishes), by mocking Malaysia Airlines (MAS) pilots and its very dedicated cabin crew who have won international awards for inflight-services and quality.
“Charlie Hebdo cannot exploit MH370 passengers and crews as an opportunity to increase sales,” he said in the statement today.
The recent discovery of the flaperon found on Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean has been confirmed by international experts as from the MH370, the MAS Boeing 777 plane, which went missing enroute to Beijing, China on March 8 last year.
Chai said the French magazine should instead empathise and comprehend the loss experienced by the relatives and friends of the 239 passengers and crew. ― Bernama
