KUALA LUMPUR, June 17 — Looking to check up on entertainment, sports and fashion news in between surfing channels but find it too troublesome to grab the papers?

For Astro subscribers, it’s all at your fingertips with Malay Mail’s e-paper, for free with Astro’s Read App, which also provides access to 17 e-Magazines.

Malay Mail’s e-paper is the only e-paper on the Astro Go Read app.

“We look forward to a warm reception from our subscribers. With this, we will be ushering in a new concept of a combination of ‘watch and read’,” Astro’s chief operating officer Henry Tan said today.

The Astro Go Read app is available on both the leading operating system platforms – Android and Apple’s iOS.

There have been 20,000 downloads since the application’s soft launch earlier this year.

Malay Mail Editor-in-Chief Datuk Wong Sai Wan said the Malay Mail e-paper offering to Astro subscribers was the culmination of 15 months of work to fulfil the digital transformation pledged by the company to occupy and dominate digital space.

“I thank Astro for the collaboration on the Go Read app. Now, with the 4.5 million Astro subscribers, Malay Mail will become the highest circulated e-paper-cum-newspaper not only in the country but in the region,” he said.
