SINGAPORE, May 5 — Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and his Malaysian counterpart Datuk Seri Najib Razak kicked off their annual Leaders’ Retreat yesterday with a private dinner for Najib and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, hosted by Lee and his wife Ho Ching at Sentosa Cove.
Bilateral talks will take place between the Prime Ministers and their delegations today. Key among the issues on the agenda is the planned high-speed rail connecting Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.
Najib is also set to deliver a keynote address at the Economic Society of Singapore’s annual dinner at the Shangri-La Hotel tonight, which Lee will also be attending. — Today
