SEREMBAN, March 12 — A body of a man with burn marks was found in a drain by the roadside at Km 253 on the North-South Expressway (PLUS) early today.
Seremban District Police chief ACP Muhamad Zaki Harun said the body, which was 30 per cent burnt, was found in a supine position at about 7am by a member of the public.
The deceased is believed to be aged in his 20s or 30s.
“No signs of injuries were found on the body, only cracked skins were detected on his hands, body and feet which is believed to be due to the burns.
“Initial investigations revealed that the materials used to burn the body was a box and a black plastic bag,” he told reporters, here today.
He said the body could not be identified as no documents, jewellery or valuable items were found on it.
The body was sent to the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital in Seremban for post-mortem and efforts were now being conducted to identify the body via fingerprints and DNA tests, he said.
