KUALA LUMPUR, March 8 ― “March 8, 2015, good night my love. My prayers will always be with you, although you are far away,” said Intan Maizura Othman, the wife of MH370 steward Mohd Hazrin Mohamed Hasnan.
Intan Maizura expressed her sorrow via her Twitter account today, one year after the Malaysia Airlines flight went missing.
She also uploaded Mohd Hazrin's photographs via her Instagram account saying: “Sleep my love, My prayers come from the heart. I pray that we meet one day, don't forget our faces.”
Intan Maizura's posting received over 3,544 likes.
She also received encouraging words from followers, including atiqahrosnam who said: “Akak, may your children have the paitence and accept what happened.
Meanwhile,sharifahnurfarahamirah said: “Akak, you are a very strong person indeed. Your husband will be so proud of you. Al Fatihah.”
The sorrow was also shared by Maira Elizabeth, the daughter of chief steward Andrew Nari, who uploaded image of orange coloured sky on her Instagram account with the words #PRAYFORMH370.
Maira Elizabeth recalled her last moments with her father while expressing her regret for refusing to accompany him to the airport on that day.
“I should have followed. I remembered the smile on his face before he closed the door.”
Her message ended: “We miss you, and we love you. Tremendously. May God protect each and everyone of you. Amen # RememberingMH370 #MH370AYearOn.”
Maira Elizabeth's words received over 1,373 likes.
She received encouraging words from chenelisachenawawi who wrote:” Be strong gal, I'm sure your dad is so proud of how strong you are :).”
Nrznth said: “Ur such a strong girl, kak Maira. Stay strong always. Our love and support will always be here for you, the family members of the crew and passengers of MH370 “.
Maira Elizabeth, via her Twitter account described the emotional feelings to commemorate the incident: “An emotional night # MH370AYearOn”.
Malaysians also converged on social sites to share their sorrow over MH370 and hope that all parties persevere in the face of the tragedy.
Twitter account holder ahmadhsyam said: “Exactly one year. The long wait is accompanied by prayers and hopes. InsyaAllah #MH370 #alwaysinMyHeart “.
Another account holder, patenrazali said: “March 8, 2014. Don't ever forget them. Al-Fatihah. #MH370AYearOn.”
Meanwhile, Aizumi Daniyaka via her Facebook page said: “One year after, we miss you. The sorrow lingers, hopes of return never diminished.
Md Syazwan Mohd Saman wrote on his Facebook page: “You left us one year ago. May you be safe there #MH370 #MH370AYearOn “.
Instagram account holder izwan_azman86 also uploaded image of a child at the airport with the message: “A year has passed, and we never forget. InsyaAllah someday #setahunMH370 #Prayformh370.”.
