PUTRAJAYA, Feb 10 — About 150 people rallied outside the Palace of Justice here today to show support for Saiful Bukhari Azlan who was allegedly sodomised by Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, as the Federal Court is set to deliver its verdict in the latter’s Sodomy II case.

The group of mostly women with about 50 young men, who had their faces covered, held up placards bearing Saiful’s face that read “the real victim”.

“Anwar and Saiful must repent,” one of the protesters called Azillah, who did not give his full name, told Malay Mail Online.

Azillah and other protesters claimed they are from various non-governmental organisation groups, but refused to name the groups.

The crowd chanted “Arrest Anwar!” and “Punish him!” as the police observed from within the barricades surrounding the entrance of the Palace of Justice.

Azillah added that another 10 busloads of Saiful supporters were on their way, bring the total up to 13 buses worth of supporters.

The police have also formed a human barricade around the court complex.
