SINGAPORE, Jan 15 — Singapore authorities have detained a Malaysian man in connection with the seizure of 3,999 Erimin-5 tablets at the Tuas Checkpoint yesterday.          

The drug, worth about S$28,000 (RM75,075) was contained in black polythene bags.          

Immigration and Checkpoints Authority officers picked up the 27-year-old suspect after finding the drug hidden in the glove compartment of the Malaysian-registered car during routine checks about 7.30pm.          

The suspect was handed over to the Central Narcotics Bureau to facilitate investigations. — Bernama
