SUBANG JAYA, Dec 14 -- Despite the differences in their respective political ideologies, the DAP today urged its allies in Pakatan Rakyat (PR) to prioritise the pact’s common platform and joint manifesto.

The party’s acting national chairman Tan Kok Wai said that the parties’ different ideologies have been used by PR’s political opponents to create fissures within the pact, in hopes of affecting an eventual break-up.

“Malaysians voted us in hoping we are better than Barisan Nasional (BN)... do we want to disappoint them?” he posed.

“Whatever problems that arise from the differences can be overcome... the common platform should be link that brings us together,” said Tan.
